Entrix is taking on the optimization and commercialization of a 144 MWh co-location battery storage system for The Dillinger Group in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (Germany). The project combines a large-scale battery storage system with a photovoltaic plant and is scheduled to go live at the end of June 2026.

The Dillinger Group, an integrated renewable energy provider specializing in utility-scale photovoltaic power plants, battery storage, and charging infrastructure, has selected Entrix as its partner for the AI-based optimization and commercialization of its project "Schloen".

Pioneering green co-Location in Germany

The asset is combined with the "PV Schloen" solar park in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and has a power output of 36 MW and a storage capacity of 144 MWh, making it one of the first green co-location projects of this scale in Germany. The four-hour storage system runs exclusively on renewable energy from the connected PV facility. Surplus solar energy is stored and fed back into the grid when demand is high – contributing to both renewable energy integration and a more flexible power system.

AI-based multi-market optimization for maximum profitability

The asset will be connected to the grid of e.dis Netz GmbH., Entrix takes care of the optimization across all relevant energy markets, including day-ahead and intraday trading. AI-based trading algorithms continuously analyse real-time market data, technical parameters, and the state of charge of the battery storage system. This maximizes the asset's economic performance while contributing to grid stability.

"With the Schloen project, we are realizing one of the first green co-location battery storage projects of this scale in Germany. Projects like this demonstrate how battery storage and renewable energy generation must increasingly be developed hand in hand. We look forward to bringing this project to life together with The Dillinger Group."

Steffen Schülzchen, Founder and CEO of Entrix

"Schloen is a strategic project that serves as a blueprint for the next generation of renewable energy infrastructure. The combination of photovoltaic generation and battery storage not only enables a more efficient use of renewable energy but also lays the foundation for economically viable and grid-supportive energy projects at scale. With Entrix, we have a partner at our side that brings deep expertise in the commercialization and optimization of complex storage projects and shares our vision of a flexible energy system."
